**Job Advert Summary**:
To assist with the production of various produce cryo pastes from FFP as raw material for manufacture of clotting factors, immunoglobulins, albumin and other products.

**Specific Operational Requirements**
- May be required to work overtime to meet the business needs.
- Must be prepared to work shifts/weekends/public holidays when needed.

**Specific SHE Requirements**
- Pre-employment, routine, and exit medicals are compulsory due to the nature of the business
- Attendance to SHE-related training is mandatory.
- Adherence to SHE Instructions (Waste Segregation, Water and Energy Saving Initiatives)
- Compliance with SHE Site Rules is compulsory.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 with minimum D mark in English and minimum D mark in math, science, biology or EMS.

**Preffered Experience**
- 1 -2 years in a pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology or food manufacturing or laboratory environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Assist with the production of bulk intermediates (cryo, II Paste, V paste).**
- Works with team members to prepare equipment by cleaning and sterilising as required
- Take samples for QA/QC as per protocol

**Assist with completion of documentation**
- Works with team members to complete written documentation as required by protocols & SOP’s

**Maintain Equipment**
- Monitor equipment performance
- Assist with calibrating equipment
- Works with team members to conduct first -line maintenance of equipment

**Comply with Good Manufacturing Procedures**
- Works with team members to execute SOPs and protocols in utilizing the techniques of pooling, precipitation, fractionation, centrifugation & filtration
- Use appropriate packaging for storage of in-process materials
- Dispose of waste products according to SOP’s
- Participates in audits of manufacturing area
- Works within a team to assess and recommend methods for improving quality
- Ensure manufacturing area is clean and tidy
- Attend training courses as required

**Comply with the OHS act**
- Work in a safe manner under the indirect supervision of team members
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Act as Safety Rep, Evacuation Team Leader or First-Aider as required
