Agronomist

Our client, a farm in Modimolle in Limpopo is looking for an Agronomist.

**Duties & Responsibilities include, but is not limited to**:

- Evaluating and and improving seed quality.
- Laboratory tests of soil, seed and crop samples.
- Generating reports and presenting findings to management.
- Quality control for seed caliber & soil standards.
- Crop production of farm.
- Keeping detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples.
- Developing planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.

**Qualifications**:

- BSc in Agriculture, specializing in Plant Production or Agronomy
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ proven experience in the Agronomy industry
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Drivers license

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Modimolle, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- Agronomy work: 2 years (required)
- Crop production: 2 years (required)
- Evaluation and improvement of seed quality: 1 year (required)
- laboratory tests of soil, seed & crop sample: 2 years (required)
- Quality control for seed caliber & soil standard: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English fluently (required)
