**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**:

- Grade 12
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant diesel technical experience
- Must be a good communicator (verbal & written)
- Knowledge of the Health & Safety requirements.
- The person must have experience in maintenance on various truck and trailers and must have experience in welding.
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Must be able to work under pressure and comply with deadlines.
- Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends.
- Time Management

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- High quality repairs and maintenance on MacDonald's Transport's trailers and equipment ensuring that the asset conforms to roadworthy and safe operating conditions. General repairs.
- Responsible for all tool and equipment. Ensure tools & Equipment are kept clean and in good working condition.
- Housekeeping
- Repair, build, replace as per instruction and approval. Included but not limited.
- Tyres fitment to trucks and trailers (tyre on rim).
- Tyre inspections on trucks and trailers in the depot.
- Mechanical repairs
- Servicing of trailers.
- After hour standby.

**Salary**: R14,394.49 per month
