Port Elizabeth is currently seeking to appoint a Printers Electrician with experience in a print / manufacturing environment. The successful incumbent will report to the Operation Manager.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Regular scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all electrical equipment in the Press and Mailroom departments.
- General electrical maintenance, including identifying and rectifying electrical faults.
- Perform fault finding on all printing presses and mailroom equipment & rectify or resolve identified problem.
- All equipment inspected and available for production at any time.
- Stock levels for spare parts maintained and in good working order.
- Maintenance and support schedule for all machinery and equipment on site.
- Support with new installations.
- Timeous attendance to any job card loaded on to Shopware.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels of critical stock - ensure proper capturing and signing out of any stock movements.
- Assist in ad hoc task between different departments / functionalities when required.
- Assist & Support H&S Department and GMR 2 with ad hoc tasks and requirements.
**Educational Requirements**:
- Technical matric or equivalent qualification.
- Electrical Trade Test certificate through a recognized apprenticeship.
**Experience Requirements**:
- 2 - 5 years’ experience within an electrical/electronic maintenance environment is essential.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations.
- The incumbent must have gained this exposure and knowledge in a FMCG environment in the following areas: PLC’s (Siemens), Sinamic drives, AC & DC Variable Drives, Interbus Drives. Communications and experience working with contractors and suppliers.
