An exciting opportunity has opened for a Mine Overseer to manage and oversee multiple aspects of an underground gold mine site.
**Responsibilities**:
Manage, lead and motivate team to safely achieve targets
Ensure conformance with mine safety standards
Ensure legal compliance
Resource planning
Managing contractors
Cost control
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including Health & Safety Department, Shift Bosses, TMM Engineer, Shaft Engineer, Section Manager, Mining Manager, other Mine Overseers, Technical Service Functions and HR
**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill
Grade 12
Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence
Mine Manager's Certificate of Competence highly advantageous
10 years U/G mining experience
Previous gold mine or hard rock experience
5 years' experience with Vertical shaft operations
Thorough knowledge of MS Office
Strong leadership and management capabilities
Medically fit
