Hardware/carpentry Storeman

**About Us**:
**Job Purpose**:
As a Hardware Storeman / Storeman, you will be responsible for managing inventory and distributing hardware and materials to support the carpentry team. Leveraging your organisational skills and attention to detail, you will ensure that the Carpentry Department has the necessary supplies to meet production requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive, inspect, and store incoming hardware and materials in designated storage areas.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements using inventory management software.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for replenishment as needed.
- Prepare and pack hardware and materials for distribution to the carpentry team.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of hardware and materials.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage and handling of hardware and materials.
- Provide support to the carpentry team by fulfilling material requests and assisting with stock selection.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or carpentry environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with hardware and materials used in carpentry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
