**The IIE Varsity College, Cape Town Campus has a Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in the following discipline for the 2023 academic year**:

- Journalism (JRNS6221) Lecturer

**Competencies required**:

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:
**JRNS6221 Lecturer**:

- Honours in Journalism; Alternatively: Honours in one of the Humanities fields with Journalism as a major; BJourn 4 year degree in Journalism (NQF level 8).

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:

- Lecturing experience in Journalism required; Experience as a practising journalist writing for the online/print media is strongly recommended.

**Working Conditions**:

- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
- Positions are **part-time**, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:30.
