**Position Overview**:
The purpose of this role is to coordinate and actively manage the vehicle and accessory procurement and disposal processes within 58Fleet in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Activities include but are not limited to sourcing of goods and services, price negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
**Specific Role Responsibilities**:
- Assess requests for quotation as received from relevant business functions, ensuring product and service specifications are approved, fit for purpose, and in line with company policies
- Obtain quotes from relevant suppliers in a timely manner
- Review quotes to ensure best practice is achieved
- Plan the purchase of approved goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards
- Prepare requisitions and purchase orders
- Monitor and track orders whilst maintaining communication with suppliers, customers and relevant team members
- Prepare and coordinate the delivery of goods ensuring product accessories and services are as per customer request
- Monitor market trends for future pricing, availability, lead time, and to make recommendations on cost savings
- Source and maintain registered lists of vendors and suppliers of goods and services
- Review, evaluate, verify, and process invoices ensuring accurate and timely payment as necessary for the business with the supplier
- Manage and build effective relationships with OEM’s and suppliers
- Ensure operating system is updated with the relevant information
- Ensure supplier systems are updated with the relevant vehicle and driver information
- Engage with relevant business functions on contracts reaching end of term and action accordingly
- Provide advice and guidance on procurement and disposal related issues
- Coordinate quality control checks to ensure that contract deliverables are provided in compliance with contractual arrangements
- Any other related duties as may be assigned
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Relevant degree in supply chain management / Logistics or similar
- Experience in fleet management is an added advantage
- Computer literate - MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (knowledge/experience)
**Skills and Personal Attributes**:
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of procurement and disposal management
- Ability to use internet for research purposes
- Ability to analyse and evaluate data and identify trends in procurement and disposal management
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to make decisions within approved policy frameworks
- Ability to prepare reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong internal and external management skills
- Sound understanding of the automotive industry at large
- Passion for motor industry
