Forklift Artisan

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

To maintain and service the forklifts on a regular basis, repair, clean and inspect the machine to run smoothly.

**REPORTING TO: Operations Manager**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Handling of Scheduled services
- Handling of Scheduled machine repairs
- Handling of machine rebuilds
- Liasee with Procurement department for parts
- DMS Works orders to be filled and updated day to day
- At tentative breakdowns
- Traveling from time to time to different plants to repair forklifts when required

**KEY COMPETENCE/SKILLS**
- Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks.
- Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklifts trucks.
- Excellent Mechanical instructions
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Structured and organized approach

**REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Previous forklift experience
- Both workshop and field service experience
- Will work overtime from time to time
- Must be flexible during times of pressure in working overtime
- Electric, Diesel and Gas forklift experience
- Proficient in fault finding (attention to detail)
- Knowledge on hydraulic systems
- Must have trade papers.
- References required.

**Salary**: From R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wadeville, Gauteng: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
