- Requirement Gathering: You work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for automation. This involves identifying repetitive tasks, manual processes, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Process Analysis: You analyze existing client business processes to determine their suitability for automation. You assess factors such as volume, frequency, complexity, and potential ROI (Return on Investment).
- Solution Design: Based on the requirements and process analysis, you design RPA solutions using appropriate tools and technologies. This includes defining workflows, logic, data handling, error handling, and integration points.
- Tool Selection: You evaluate different RPA platforms and tools to select the most suitable ones for specific automation tasks. This involves considering factors like scalability, compatibility, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness.
- Development and Configuration: You either develop or configure RPA bots using selected tools. This may involve scripting, coding, or using visual workflow designers depending on the chosen platform.
- Testing: You conduct thorough testing of RPA solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements. This includes unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
- Deployment: You oversee the deployment of RPA bots into production environments. This involves coordinating with IT teams to ensure proper setup, configuration, and security measures.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Once deployed, you monitor the performance of RPA bots and address any issues or errors that arise. You also perform regular maintenance tasks such as updating workflows, handling exceptions, and optimizing automation processes.
- Documentation and Training: You document RPA solutions, processes, and best practices for future reference. Additionally, you may provide training and support to business users or other team members on using and managing RPA tools.
- Continuous Improvement: You continuously seek opportunities to improve existing automation solutions and identify new areas for automation within the organization. This involves staying updated on latest RPA trends, technologies, and best practices.

Education and Qualification

 Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
 BSc Software Engineering or relevant equivalent tertiary qualification complete
 7+ years of IT work experience
 These include a few very specific IT skills:
 Practical knowledge of high-level programming languages
Knowledge and Skill

(what kind of knowledge and skill is required in this role - basic skills, technical skills, specialized, analytical)
- At least 3 years in software development experience incl.
- Transforming business processes into automated solutions using workflow, SOA Integration frameworks & techniques, Web frameworks e.g. Angular will be beneficial
- Business management skills
- Financial services industry knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of the overall dynamics of the insurance and financial services industries.
- Sound understanding of the business of Short-term insurance brokers.
- Strong leadership abilities - decisive, influential and inspirational.
- Good communication including verbal and business writing skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Process driven in terms of planning and organising skills.
- A combination of initiation, integration skills.
- Aptitude and dedication to thrive in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work across business units with varying stakeholders
