**Job Title: Supervisor - Recycling**

**Location: Sorting Facility - Airport Industria**

**Closing Date: 25 August 2023**
**JOB PURPOSE**

To provide an effective and efficient support service to the Ithalomso recycling team to improve service delivery to our clients and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment is in place at all times.

**JOB OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION**
- Coordinates recycling collection schedules to optimize service quality and efficiency.
- assign worker daily schedule and truck drivers to routes.
- Coordinates recyclable materials shipment to processing companies or recyclable shipping brokers.
- Complete paperwork and records regarding materials received and processed including documentation required for monthly reports.
- Inspects recycling facilities to ensure the premises meet safety, quality, and service standards.
- Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate about safety goals and objectives.
- Ensure all equipment remains in working order and in compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
- Respond to vehicle accidents and conduct preliminary investigation.
- Maintains records and prepares basic reports.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Performs various supervisory duties**.
- Assigns and reviews the work of employees.
- Evaluates the performance of employees under his/her direct supervision.
- Reviews evaluations given by his/her subordinates.
- Approves leave requests.
- Counsels with and corrects employees as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**: Matric (Grade 12) or Equivalent qualification.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to train and motivate others.
- Thorough understanding of recycling processes and policies.
- Thorough understanding of waste management programs.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Sound Knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, word, PowerPoint,

**KNOWLEDGE**:outlook.).
- General Office administration.

**Job Type**: Contract
