We are looking for an experienced Anaesthetics/ICU Consultant to join a friendly and supportive NHS Trust in the Anaesthetics/ICU department. This post has been developed as part of a planned expansion to the Trust’s permanent workforce. The Trust is seeking a permanent, long term employee to bring their own skills and attributes to the department.

As a Consultant in Anaesthetics/ICU, you will take responsibility for the care of patients in your charge and a general responsibility to provide, in collaboration with other colleagues, an effective service to meet the needs of the local population. A position in Anaesthetics/ICU offers a fast paced environment, where your care provision has an immediate and visible impact on patient outcomes.
The Trust is keen to develop all members of staff and as such the post offers learning and educational opportunities. Consultants are expected to contribute to teaching programmes for Foundation, IMT, GP and Higher Specialty Training in order to support colleagues development. Research is also encouraged at Consultant level, and the Trust offer supported CPD days and funding.

**Salary**: R205,369,200.00 - R273,825,600.00 per year
