-Detailed Description
Define own work plan and deliverables, with guidance from the Category Lead.
- Source facilities management-related goods and services (including construction and engineering) in accordance with the Procurement Policy of the SARB and relevant legislation, including that of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 (B-BBEE Act).
- Source facilities management-related goods and services, which includes, but is not limited to, market research, the preparation of request for tender/proposal/quotation/information (RFXs), the evaluation of bids, commercial negotiations, recommendations for supplier awarding as well as the preparation and presentation of submissions to relevant committees.
- Manage the entire value chain of requisitioning, including the contracting cycle.
- Collate and analyse spend data for the execution of facilities management category management initiatives and the provision of management information.
- Keep abreast of developments in the procurement field to ensure best practice in the SARB.
- Keep abreast of technology advancements and their effect on the costs of goods and services to be procured.
- Perform spend analyses and formulate category strategies that will lead to benefits (cost reduction or cost avoidance) without causing supply risks.
- Ensure that the contracts between the SARB and suppliers are commercially sound.
Job Requirements

**Job requirements
- a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification; and
- a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the procurement or supply chain management environment, of which 2-3 years relate to strategic/complex sourcing.

Additional requirements include:

- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) certification would be an added advantage.
