Hvac Technician

As the HVAC Installation Technician, you will install and support systems and products at a high standard. You will guarantee that all customer queries are resolved well, escalated in time, and feedback is continuously shared with the team.

**What you'll do**
- Repairs and maintenance of all refrigeration equipment
- Contacting the client to ascertain their equipment needs.
- Ordering equipment supplies, repair modules, and sundries for the order.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics.
- Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units, and air conditioning units Observing and testing newly installed systems.
- Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
- Replacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors.
- Informing clients of repair costs and alternate cooling options.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment as per job cards
- Follow all reasonable instructions and requests issued by Operations Manager when working at customer premises
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment
- Work overtime when required to do so by management
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions as required by management
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, product standards, and with
- Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Assist with customer queries
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order and are used properly
- Conduct thorough site clean-up on completion of work at customer site.
- Implement proper preparation and stock management prior to commencing work on site
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements
- Exemplify professional conduct in the correct manner and in accordance with the standards detailed in the operations manual
- Provide exceptional customer service and take due care to avoid damage to customer property

**What you'll need**
- Grade 12 qualification
- 5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician
- Experience in chillers, air handling units, normal split units and BMS.
- Relevant trade test in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (required)
- Willingness to continue education in the HVAC field
- A valid driving and gas license (required)
- An understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
- Knowledge of service, product, and installation methods
- Capacity to use discretion when examining installation instructions
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good customer liaison and service skills
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Personal integrity, empathy, and a supreme, mature sense of confidentiality
- Good listening skills and an eye for detail
- To be punctual and presentable at all times
- Excellent complaint and conflict resolution skills

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Primary (preferred)

**Experience**:

- HVAC: 5 years (preferred)
