Gym Manager

Based in Durban a well-established Gym is currently looking for a Gym Manager to look after the overall operations of the gym, to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the place and check the machines and the equipment’s used are in best working condition.

**Duties of a Gym Manager**
- Promote activities and programs to cater the needs of clients.
- Advertise the centre to increase number of members through market research and commissioning.
- Recruit and train employees.
- Check the health and safety of the equipment’s used in gym.
- Organize the repair, cleaning and maintenance of these machines.
- Provide excellent customer care and would do anything to avoid losing existing clients.
- Deal with the complaints, accidents and emergencies that come up.
- Deliver fitness trainings to maintain communication with clients.
- Responsible for purchasing and setting budgets to generate income.
- Keeps stocks records, use advance management facts to augment terms and cope up with the variation in the demand.

**Educational Requirements of a Gym Manager**
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or sports science.
- Experience in working at a gym and management.
- Must have the interest in health and fitness to be successful in this field.
- Must be a good communicator to be able to relate to staff and the clients.
- Must be able to know the uses of the equipment and a background of the services offered.

**Salary**: R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- Gym Management: 5 years (required)
