Tester Routine/physical

**Job Advert Summary**:
To safely collect and prepare test samples for the lab Assistant. Ensure that samples collected as per schedule and are accurately analysed and that results are published / distributed in a timely manner.
Recognise and report on deviations in a timely manner.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Diploma/Certificate in Chemistry or equivalent will be an advantage
- Code 08 drivers license
- Computer skills
- Accountability
- Energetic
- Willing to learn
- Previous laboratory and cement manufacturing experiences will be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To conduct sample preparation and testing which include loss of ignition, moistures, running pills on XRF of samples and materials as requested by Laboratory Supervisor/Lab. Manager
- Reporting accurate and reliable results on time.
- Interpretation of results
- Recording results in LIMS
- Analyzing prospect samples
- Assisting and maintaining the quality system and retained accreditation
- Physical testing e.g. compare strengths, setting times, standard
- Active participation in Safety Management
- Shift work and overtime
