VACANCY - DEBTORS CLERK

A well-established pharmaceutical company based in Ndabeni, Cape Town, is looking for a Debtors Clerk to join their team.

The role of a Debtors Clerk has become available at our plant in Ndabeni. This role is responsible for the following:

- At month end ensure that all data capturing is completed.
- Ensure that all direct deposits made by debtors are captured daily.
- Ensure that all Debtors receipts are captured daily.
- Ensure that the Debtors Age Analysis, at each month end is printed. Or when requested.
- Non-payment from Debtors is to be followed up timeously and any problems reported to Management.
- Ensure that late Debtors are identified and followed up by means of a letter or phone calls.
- Once receipts have been captured for the month, print Age Analysis.
- After month end run has been completed and the receipts checked and all relevant credit notes passed, ensure that the Monthly Statements are run and posted if correct. If incorrect, fix and then reprint. All statements must be completed by the end of the month.
- Ensure that a copy of the debtor’s statement is filed in the debtor’s client file.
- Ensure that when goods are returned for credit by a client that their Goods Return Voucher refers to one of Barrs’ invoices.
- Ensure that all credit notes are authorized by the Financial Manager and Production Manager before capturing.
- Post the original credit note to the client and file the copy along with the authorization in the credit note file.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 with post matric qualification.
- At least five years of experience in Debtors role.
- Ideally experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Professional conduct observed with stakeholders both internally and externally.
