**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

- An appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- At least five years’ experience in a **FET Phase Head** position.
- Ability to lead and manage people.
- Ability to plan FET activities including curriculum and sports and not limited to.
- Be in a position to organize meetings for staff and parents.
- Be involved in community based projects.
- Teach in the FET Phase.
- Current SACE registration.
- IEB experience.
- A clear criminal record.

**The responsibilities are**:

- Working together with the executive head and school leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning practice.
- Performing the duties of a teacher and phase head.
- Promoting a healthy process of reciprocal informal observation of class teaching practices.
- Advising and contributing to curriculum development at school.
- Coordinating the teaching and learning of the phase.
- Setting examination papers, coordinating marking rosters and moderating examinations and assessment processes.
- Mentoring other teachers in the phase.
- Holding and leading regular departmental meetings and ensuring the keeping of minutes.
- Involvement in school activities.
- Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.
