The purpose of the **Expeditor Clerk** is to proactively manage and expedite the flow of materials and information within the organisation, ensuring timely deliveries, minimising transport delays, and fostering effective communication and coordination to support the Premier FMCG operational efficiency and customer satisfaction goals.
**Qualification Requirements**:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, logistics
**Experience Requirements**:
- A Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an FMCG transport environment is essential.
- A Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in cross-functional collaborating with departments such as warehousing, and transportation to optimise supply chain efficiency is essential.
- 1-2 years’ Experience in vehicle tracking and telematics experience is essential.
- 1-2 years’ Prior experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
**Key Outputs**:
- **Ensure Timely Deliveries**: Ensure that Premier products are delivered to distribution centres, retailers, or customers within the specified timeframes.
- **Coordinate Transportation Activities**: Coordinating various transportation activities, including scheduling pickups, arranging deliveries, and tracking shipments, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of goods.
- **Manage Supplier Relationships**: Managing relationships with transportation providers and suppliers to ensure timely pickup of goods, accurate documentation, and adherence to delivery schedules.
- **Enhance Customer Satisfaction**: Prioritising customer needs, meeting delivery deadlines, and providing excellent service throughout the transportation process to ensure a positive customer experience.
- **Ensure Data Accuracy**: Maintaining accuracy in transportation documentation, including delivery receipts to ensure proper record-keeping, compliance, and accountability. Ensure that the data captured in the tracking portal, is up to date and accurate.
- **Comply with Regulations**: Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards governing the movement of FMCG products.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with transportation providers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in transportation documentation and record-keeping.
- Operational and Analytical skills to maximise efficiency and reducing costs.
