IT Technician

We are looking for a qualified **IT Technician** that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.

The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimise the role of technology on business sustainability.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up workstations and necessary peripheral devices.
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance of hardware and software installations.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Assist users remotely and on site.
- Weekly site visits to clients. Ensure that the client does not have any issues. If any issues are found. This needs to be logged on the ticketing system.

**Requirements and skills**
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Minimum 2+ years Experience
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Understanding of Windows and Apple operating systems
- Understanding of Android and IOS operating systems
- Matric Maths and English FAL compulsory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.

Ability to Commute:

- Randburg, Gauteng (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Randburg, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
