Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for an
** Inventory Planner** at our head office in
**Bonaero**
**Park.** The successful applicant will report to the
**Senior Manager: Supply Chain**.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments and record indirect time promptly;
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers always;
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business for all locations in Safair;
- Perform aisle audits checking the accuracy of each location in the warehouse;
- Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures;
- Performs data entry for inventory transactions;
- Participates in daily cycle count;
- Correct and report any inventory deficiencies or discrepancies;
- Assists Warehouse Supervisor in devising new ways to reduce shrink and maintain inventory control;
- Submits orders for replenishment of inventory;
- Pulls any defective or expired stock for scrapping;
- Implementing loss prevention programs;
- Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards;
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels and investigates problems;
- Generate and capture Picking reports for production;
- Generate and capture Picking reports for Transfers;
- Work closely with various departments

Assist with any adhoc duties set out by the Warehouse Supervisor.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Talent in negotiations and networking;
- Aptitude in decision making and working with numbers;
- Previous experience of Inventory Control will be advantageous;
- Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous;
- Working towards professional accreditation will be advantageous;
- SAM AMO system;
- Ability to work well with supervisor to align departmental KPI’s;
- Ability to work under minimum supervision;
- Actively committed to team development;
- Good understanding of supply chain process and their interdependencies.
