Applications are invited for the above-mentioned **FTC position** based in **Pretoria West.** This person will report to the **Ops Manager.**

**Purpose Statement of the Position**
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the Pretoria West Distribution Centre complies with the Risk Control Policy, OSHACT Regulations, maintain planned site maintenance, to supervise and control contracted security on site.

**Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to**:

- Supervision of contracted Security company
- Implementing and maintaining effective access control
- Inspect and ensure that all guards report for duty on time, neatly dressed and fit for duty
- Perform daily checks on Modular incident report
- Ensuring that procedures are in place for the protection of assets
- Ensuring that procedures are in place for the final control of all dispatched and received liquor
- Ensure that strict controls are in place to protect Personnel and Company property and assets
- Ensure that a proper key register is kept, and all keys are securely handled and issued to the responsible person
- Ensure that frequent patrols and checks are done daily after hours and over weekends throughout the premises
- Manage the CCTV room and ensure that it is utilized properly. Any discrepancies should be reported to the Ops Manager
- Supervision of site safety, which includes (but not limited to):

- Executing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance to relevant Group Safety & Fire Prevention Standards, OHS Act, COID Act, Municipal & Building regulations, SABS codes, etc.
- Liaising with emergency services
- Ensure that all fire prevention measures are adhered to
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program for the site
- Site Risk Management, which includes (but not limited to):

- Implementing and maintaining the Distell Risk Management Program to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Emergency Preparedness and Response planning
- Conducting HIRA’s (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), audits and investigations
- Liaising with all departmental heads on Occupational Health and Safety, Risk and Environmental related matters
- Ensure that the Risk Control Program is adhered to
- Maintain high housekeeping standards, demarcation and symbolic signs
- Co-ordinate all safety representative appointments and safety meetings
- Performing related administration, which includes (but not limited to):

- Detailed record keeping ensuring traceability and legal compliance with regards to Occupational Health and Safety, Risk and Environmental standards
- Recording accidents, incidents and losses whilst ensuring that the required reporting, investigations, and corrective actions are taken by relevant parties
- Submit Health and Safety requirements for budget
- Obtain statistical information regarding picking and checking errors and compile monthly security reports
- Co-ordinating all Occupational Health & Safety, Risk and Environmental related training in order to adhere to relevant legislation (e.g., OHS Act NEMA, ISO 14001:2015, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining Quality Management Systems and Standards (ISO 9001:2000, HACCP, BRC, IFS, etc)
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification in Risk and Safety
- Post Graduate qualification would be advantageous
- 3 year’s experience in the Risk Control discipline
- Computer Literate
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., OHS Act, NEMA, etc.) and risk control standards
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, HACCP;etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective interaction with individuals on all levels
- SAP knowledge would be an advantage
- Availability for standby and after hours call outs
- Drivers licence and own transport
- Ability to manage department budget
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proactive and assertive to ensure compliance to rules and regulations
- Financial acumen, along with proven ability to plan, organize, co-ordinate, facilitate and evaluate initiatives
