Responsible for preparing purchase orders, monitoring supply sources and negotiating Prices with suppliers. Plans, directs, and coordinates the storage and distribution operations within an organisation or the activities of organisations that are engaged in storing and distributing materials and products.

Serve internal and/or external customers. Render service or create products according to standardised procedures. Instructions are clear. There is scope for own initiatives. Work with limited or no supervision. May include supervisory responsibilities.

1. Stock Management
- Evaluate supplier products based on price, availability, quality and business requirements.
- Negotiate terms to ensure best deal for the organisation.
- Ensure timely delivery of stock and that products meet requirements as per terms of agreement and compliance with contracts of purchase.
- Monitor stock levels and purchase within budget.
- Ensures optimum availability of materials, goods, and services by analysing trends.

2. Supplier/Vendor Management
- Continuously review current and potential new suppliers based on their strategic value to the business.
- Maintain healthy relationships with suppliers, partners, internal and external stakeholders through regular meetings and ongoing communication.
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and promote fair, ethical dealings.
- Selects best suppliers by comparing prices and reliability.
- Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.
- Ensures prompt product delivery by agreeing on delivery schedules with suppliers. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.

3. Team work
- Work closely with relevant internal departments to ensure alignment with their strategic goals, i.e., production team.
- Assists the production department and other pertinent divisions by informing them of any supply issues affecting business operations.
- Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation

4. Warehouse Space Management
- FIFO Management
- Conduct demand analyses, forecast sales and create efficient daily operating plans.
- Provide real-time information re. inventory location and quantity.
- Share data with departments such as accounting, and transportation to increase the efficiency of business operations.
- Monitor and report on how efficiently the warehouse is operating focus on continuous improvement initiatives to optimise space.
- Have standard operating procedures in place for warehouse activities, i.e., receiving, picking and packing orders—based on defined rules.

Track all movements of goods and record on system.

5. Product planning & forecasting
- Accurate calculation of metres of cable required - in terms of material needed to produce the cables.

6. Ad-hoc
- Overseeing distribution of merchandise and maintaining adequate stock levels
- Establishing delivery schedules, monitoring progress and continuously liaise with suppliers to resolve problems
- Determining or negotiating contract terms and conditions, awarding supplier contracts or recommending contract awards for the purchase of equipment, raw materials products, services and the purchasing of merchandise for resale
- Purchasing general and specialised equipment, materials or business services for use or for further processing by their establishment
- Interviewing suppliers and negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements
- Studying market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials and visiting trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events
- Inviting tenders, consulting with suppliers and reviewing quotations
- Obtaining information about requirements and stock and developing specifications for quantity and quality to be purchased, costs, delivery dates and other contract conditions
- Selecting the merchandise or products that best fit the establishment's requirements

**Previous experience**
- 3 Years experience in procurement and warehousing.
- Experience with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience in:

- ⁻ sourcing and procuring items
- ⁻ supply or vendor relationships
- ⁻ preparing reports
- ⁻ computer systems.
- Proven experience working with different suppliers.
- Experience in people management.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
