**_ Position Purpose:_**

Design, co-ordinate and manage Civil engineering CAPEX projects and and Facilities maintenance processes from

conceptualization to, scoping, feasibility studies, maintenance planning and handover, in accordance with policies,

procedures and standards to provide optimal building infrastructure solutions.

**_ Position outputs:_**

Design, co-ordinate and manage Civil engineering projects from conceptualization to handover, in accordance with policies,

procedures, and standards to provide optimal building infrastructure solutions.

Research and presentation of innovative solutions to Engineering problems

Analysis of client user requirements and suggest engineering specifications

Completing technical reports and other documentation

Inspecting of completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with

operational and safety standards.

Attend scheduled design and progress meetings

Proper assessment of viability against feasibility criteria

Ensure that external contractors fully understand client/ business needs when design work is outsourced

Provide input to conceptual and detailed engineering and building system designs

Update technical documentation and plans for future reference

Compile tender specifications, evaluate proposals, and recommend contactors

Successful commissioning and client handover of projects

Provide ad hoc operational support and assistance /advice including post project completion support

In time compilation and submission of projections, plans and fund allocation to support CAPEX and facilities maintenance

processes

Oversee the development of proposals and specifications, select preferred suppliers, and negotiate contracts, considering

cost, quality, and empowerment requirements

Manage the delivery lifecycle of the project (Plan, Execute, Design, Test, Implementation and Training)

Provide professional advice and expertise to ad hoc and special projects, as required

Develop a detailed project budget within the approved business case budget

Accurate preparation of technical input specification and evaluation of tenders and RFQ's in liaison with Procurement/ legal,

stakeholders & clients

Build and maintain positive relationships with all Internal and external stakeholders through frequent communication and

feedback sessions business to enable and optimise data process improvements.

Scoping of facilities management maintenance and refurbishment projects and reporting

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**

Relevant Degree, NQF 7/8, B.Eng./BSc/BTECH in civil engineering
Project Management Qualification or Accreditation (PMP and/or SACPCMP) is an added advantage
Be registered as a Professional Engineer or be eligible and intend to register as a Professional Engineer within 2 years with
the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years in Engineering/Projects/Construction/Facilities environment including experience in all aspects of design,
specifications, and implementation of building services, air conditioning, and fire protection
Project and Contract management experience
