FHBC has an opportunity for a Bookkeeper at the Wellington office.
**Job description**
- Assisting the Accountant by performing monthly processing of accounting work until trial balance;
- General accounting administration as required by clients;
- Providing training and guidance to the SAIPA Trainee accountants;
- Maintenance of records (electronically and hard copy).
- Works accurately with extreme attention to detail;
- Values ethical adherence;
- Has high regard for excellence in service delivery;
- Builds positive and value adding relationships with clients and colleagues;
- Works with integrity;
- Respects the professional framework within which we work;
- Is able to under pressure and according to strict deadlines;
- Works independently.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (beneficial);
- General understanding of financial statements, fixed asset registers and inventory systems;
- Experience with E-filing, Debtors and creditors, Tax, VAT, EMP501 reconciliations, Issuing of IRP5’s, salary calculations and PAYE;
- Minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in an accounting practice);
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport;
- Computer literate in Pastel, MS Office, SARS e-filing, Xero Accounting and Sage Online
- Resides in Wellington / Paarl area (preferred);
Fully **bilingual in Afrikaans and English (verbally and in writing) (requirement).**
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wellington, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Bookkeeping (in-practice): 2 years (required)
**Language**:
- Afrikaans (required)
