**REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric, 3 - 5 years experience in similar role
- Must have purchasing experience within the steel industry
- Experience using the Fabtrol MRP Software and Syspro - Advantageous
- Computer literate with speed and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail including numeracy skills
- Good communications skills
- Good negotiations skills
**DUTIES***
- Reporting to the CEO, Project and Technical Managers
- Purchasing of all structural steel requirements from various Steel Suppliers within South Africa
- Continuously monitoring and updating Workshop Stores stock levels and movements
- Purchasing items by the tonnage - Universal Beams / Universal Columns / Angles
- Procure Grade S355JR Steel for Fabrication by the Factory
- Ensuring store clerks are performing their functions correctly
- Obtaining and negotiating best prices for authorization
- Monthly price requirement list to be obtained from suppliers for tender purposes
- Generate purchase orders
- Ensure timeous delivery/action to maintain an accurate production flow
- Procure components through the Technical Buyer - Fibreglass grating / steel treads / anchor bolts / thread rods or any special requests
- Processing of Stock requirements is done through the Fabtrol MRP Software
- Second process of purchase orders are then raised through the Syspro Software
- Daily / weekly reports are monitored with delivery dates / outstanding stock
- Supplier invoices, delivery notes & orders to be checked by Accounts department
- Consulting with service providers, clients, tenants, and sub-contractors on an on-going basis ensuring compliance and timeous delivery with min disruption on operations
- General administration such as checking of GRNs, and invoices received
- Issuing adjustments of POs with discrepancies
- Monitoring and controlling inter-company and/or tenant repair jobs
- Arranging all medical evaluations and training interventions
