Masters or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or similar, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a GMP or Biotechnology environment and in protein expression and purification systems.*_

- A pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Protein Expression and Purification Scientist to join their Quality Management and Scientific Affairs department. The Protein Expression and Purification Scientist will report to the Head: Biotechnology Product Development and the purpose of the position is to oversee and perform all the activities associated with the development, expression, purification, and analysis of diagnostic and therapeutic proteins in the Product Development laboratory. The duties include, but are not limited to, growing and maintaining the company’s therapeutic protein and diagnostic development capabilities in line with strategic and business objectives; establishing, growing, and optimizing the company’s therapeutic protein expression systems; downstream protein purification process development; management of the company’s RCB’s and establishment of master and working cell banks; technology transfer of completed products and processes to internal recipients; maintaining the quality system to support successful product development; and general laboratory administration and support.
