This role is part of Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES), a business unit of PPD that offers both sponsors and contract research organizations best-in-class clinical trial research site and patient enrollment solutions, with tiered offerings combining the expertise, as needed, of industry leaders PPD, Synexus, Acurian and Optimal Research.
As a Clinical Account Manager, you will be a key member impacting the development and research for therapeutics for patients.

Summarized Purpose:
The Clinical Account Manager (CAM) supports the delivery of site objectives, growth and randomisation targets by cultivating specialist networks of investigators, consultants or service providers to deliver protocol tasks within the solution sold to the client. The CAM will prospect for external leads using a targeted approach to contract medical professionals and services meeting the technical and experiential requirements. Identification of specialists will be pursued either prospectively or to meet study specific needs. The CAM is responsible for identifying, contracting and on-boarding specialists before conducting effective handover of the relationship to sites for study delivery. The CAM will maintain positive engagement with specialist networks and act as an escalation point for sites if required.
Essential Functions:
- Build strong network of medical partners and health care professionals that will increase awareness of AES / Synexus and clinical trials
- Identify required specialists and secure engagement and commitment to partner with sites to deliver awarded work
- Work with sites to build a prospective network of specialists and service providers to ensure readiness in new therapeutic areas
- Using provided templates and in consultation with contracts team, secure contractual commitment from specialists to deliver required services for the duration and in the working patterns required
- Work with GEO team to introduce specialists willing to refer patients and conduct effective handover of contact
- Work on the continuous improvement of the engagement strategy during the study and beyond.
- Ensure the stability of the external specialist network
- Influence and motivate targeted physician groups to help with study recruitment through effective relationship development and working through the Physician Outreach (PO) Process Steps
- Cultivate and maintain respectable relationships within the community that will enhance
- our community’s outlook about clinical trials.
- Identify and present opportunities that can result in expansion of the GP / Hospital network resulting in profitable growth
- Locate, schedule and attend various events for networking opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of all current and planned enrolment studies and the timelines in order to have targeted conversations.
- Deliver against key performance metrics of network growth, contract conversion and outreach activity
**Job Qualification**:
Education and Experience:
Further Formal Education Degree/Diploma/Certificate of vocational training or equivalent qualification and 5+ years' experience that provide the ability to perform the job or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Previous experience as a medical representative, calling on medical industry is essential
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of medical network opportunities
- Knowledge of clinical trial process and clinical operations, including proven knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and local regulations
- Must develop thorough knowledge of particular medical trial protocols, procedures, etc.
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to adhere to project productivity metrics and timelines
- Must be able to handle sensitive or demanding issues; firmly adhering to the principles of the regulations and guidelines
- Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
