**Minimum requirements**:
***
- **Minimum 10 years’ experience as senior packhouse manager of fresh produce.**
***:

- **Extensive experience within fruit packhouses is a non-negotiable for this position.**
***:

- **Experience in operating and maintaining pack line equipment and systems.**
***:

- **Computer literate.**
***:

- **Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.**
***

**Duties and responsibilities**:
***
- **Planning and scheduling, as well as execution of daily production plans to targets.**
***:

- **Running and managing the packhouse to meet the required quality, volumes and efficiencies required to ensure production costs to target.**
***:

- **Planning and preplanning of all raw materials and packaging required for production to run daily.**
***:

- **Managing reworking or out of the ordinary production runs daily or when required.**
***:

- **Assist in the expansion of operations, increased volumes and productivity and profitable use of facilities.**
***:

- **Develop and train employees to ensure quality product output, accuracy, and consistency.**
***:

- **Leadership and development in middle management and ensuring it filter through to junior roles.**
***:

- **Build and implement best practice policies and principles.**
***:

- **Maintain and improve the Packhouse equipment, facility and surrounds to food safety standards.**
***:

- **Continues improvement and innovation in the equipment and technology of packhouse - improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, and cold chain.**
***:

- **Production product traceability and control.**
***:

- **Production traceability and rework sheets to be complete and accurate.**
***:

- **Lot tracking and process compliance and accuracy.**
***:

- **Production and line waste management accurately recorded and managed to waste or removal.**
***
