Inventory Controller

**SSUITABLY QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS ARE INVITED TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION**:
**Purpose of the job**: To perform physical cycle stock counts and verify to system stock on hand. Reconcile and investigate cause for discrepancies and capture variances identified. Identify and report on damaged stock, incorrect and poor-quality pricing, marking, and merchandising.

REPORTING TO: STORE MANAGER

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Count stock daily according to the PIC count cycle.
- Investigate all variances, rectify where required and report to store management.
- Report all regularities to store management (including pricing, quality, marking, and merchandising amongst others)
- Conduct stuck counts as required and when instructed to do so.
- Ensure all adjustments are done, verified for accuracy, and are signed off by management.
- Ensure all PIC documents are completed, signed off and approved by store management daily.
- Ensure that safety standards are adhered to.
- Ensure employees under his control wear protective clothing.

- Planning - ensure that daily counts are completed as scheduled.

- Assertive - not be intimidated by management and employees where theft and or fraud is taking place at store level.

- Must be able to make the correct decisions as and when required to do so.

**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- Grade 12
- 3 years’ work related experience.
- Computer literate
- Strong administrative skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line OHSA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Idutywa, Eastern Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- Inventory Control: 2 years (required)
