**Managed People Solutions** is looking to hire a **Finance Stock Controller** for a large **Liquor Company** based in Cape town
**Job Purpose**
The Finance Stock Controller is responsible for managing all inventory control related activities, including executing inventory control measures to ensure stock integrity and accuracy in line with the ERP system. Furthermore, this position is also responsible for overseeing the inventory audits to ensure compliance when referring to all stock movement inwards, outwards and within the warehouse. The role carries responsibility for working closely with the Procurement, Warehouse and Distribution teams to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop the company’s Inventory Management Strategy with the purpose of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital
- Manage inbound stock audits / reviews to ensure that the inbound stock process is adhered to.
- Identify and report on any variances and discrepancies noted. Include inbound stock audits / reviews in the daily operational plan for team to perform audit on stock receipts and transfer orders inbound.
- Manage outbound stock audits / reviews to ensure that outbound stock process is complied with. Identify and report on any variances and discrepancies noted. Include outbound stock audits / reviews in daily operational plan for team to perform audit on stock sales orders and transfer orders outbound
- Report on stock integrity and accuracy through discrepancies found between floor stock and ERP system.
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved. Ensure compliance to warehouse and distribution procedures are identified and reported on.
- Identify and prepare regular feedback and reporting on trends identified within the daily operational procedures resulting in breakages, damages, accidents etc.
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks including managing and running planned stock takes.
- Perform the reconciliation of regional stock count, identify items for recount and report on significant differences.
- Identify and manage adhoc stock counts required based on recounts identified during the daily counts and / or recounts identified through risk-based approach being followed.
- Manage and Control cyclic stock checks (wall to wall to be completed at least once per month).
- Prepare and present reporting feedback from the stock counts performed, non-compliance matters and variances identified.
- Ensure Daily driver debriefing takes place to ensure that all PODs, pre-approved sales return orders(SRO) and Goods Received Note(GRN) slips are received.
- Finance Stock Control manage the below process:
- The comparison of Manifest vs POD’s on local drivers
- Check the condition of the returned stock vs SRO/GRN to determine the quality of the return
- Comparing 3PL stock returns vs supporting documents and waybills
Ensure month end procedures are completed before inventory period is closed off
**Requirements**:
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics etc.(Beneficial)
- 7 years in FMCG Stock Control and/or Supply Chain environment
- 3 - 4 years Managing a team
- Data analysis experience using Excel
- Reporting and Budgeting experience
- Experience performing internal audit reviews (Beneficial)
- Data analysis experience using Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics NAV required (Beneficial)
