Diagnostic Radiographer

1. Providing a high quality professional service, inclusive of both general radiography as well as special examinations, such as Barium Studies, IVP’s, Mammograms, CT Scans and MRI Scans, and also inclusive of the preparation of the patient and rooms for all examinations, the actual examination itself and the further processing of the results of the examination. 2. Assisting the other radiographers with their functions. 3. At all times, professional, yet polite, compassionate and courteous interaction with patients/clients. 4. At all times ensure patient comfort. 5. Timeous response to the needs of patients/clients. 6. Ensure that all machines are in good order and to inform the Employer if this is not the case and if required, arranging for machines to be serviced and the duty to ensure that stock of all materials, bedding, gowns and the like, necessary to provide the service in 1 above, is maintained. 7. Assistance with the accurate recording of daily numbers of patients. 8. Providing information about patients to the person in charge of the accounting function. 9. Assist, where necessary, with reception, bookings and the printing of reports and job-cards. 10. Distribution of reports/DVD’s/films to patients and doctors.
