We're looking for a **Head of Procurement **to drive the strategic direction of the procurement function, establishing the frameworks, policies and practices required for sustainable, high-quality procurement of goods and services that supports the organisation's goals and objectives.

As Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for:
**Strategic Planning & Delivery**
- Development and execution of group-wide sourcing, procurement, category and supplier management strategies that supports the group, organizational and other functional strategies.
- Providing executive and senior leadership with reporting and insights on the organisation's sourcing, procurement and supplier management strategies, practices, benefits and risks.
- Identifying cost optimization opportunities and strategies to capitalise on these, improving the organization's bottom line.

**Supplier, Contract & Stakeholder Management**
- Leading contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Establish the capabilities required for end-to-end contract lifecycle and supplier relationship management.
- Managing supplier risk by monitoring supplier performance, assessing their financial stability, and developing contingency plans.
- Managing internal stakeholder requirements and balancing demand with procurement objectives and priorities.

**People**
- Strategic workforce planning for procurement teams.
- Establishing and leading cross-functional task teams to deliver organisation-wide procurement initiatives.
- Planning, recruiting and managing leadership team capacity, ensuring the team is fully staffed and equipped with the resources and skillset required for team effectiveness.
- Managing team performance in line with our values and principles

**Knowledge Practice and Continuous Improvement**
- Establishing and improve ethical strategic sourcing, procurement, category and supplier management frameworks and practices that supports the group's operational requirements, sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
- Ensuring company-wide awareness, integration and quality of procurement practices.
- Driving compliance with internal sourcing, procurement, contract, category and supplier management policies and practices as well as all external compliance requirements.
- Identifying and managing risks that may compromise the procurement strategy and service delivery.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

**Key Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in a comparable position
- People management experience
- Demonstrable experience of devising and implementing a global procurement strategy, building in governance of contracts and measurable tools to monitor performance/success
- Have a proven track record in negotiating high-value contracts
- Have a strong commercial acumen
- An MCIPS qualification or similar is preferred
- Experience in software licensing would be advantageous
- The ability to travel to international offices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R100,000.00 - R175,000.00 per month
