Delivery Driver

**JOB TITLE**: Driver

**QUALIFICATION**:Valid driver’s licence code 8/10, Grade 12 preferable, over 25 years of age

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**: 5-year experience as a delivery driver

**PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have good eyesight
- Must be familiar with the roads and areas in KZN
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans with excellent communication skills
- Must be analytical, a quicker thinker and have attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work under pressure
- Must have the ability to forward plan, organize and prioritize
- Must be confident, hardworking, a team player and self-motivated

**MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE**
- Ensure that the goods are delivered safely to customers as per the delivery notes
- Loads and offloads vehicle as per the delivery note, in sequence according to the pre-determined route plan.
- Adjust the route, if need be, to avoid heavy traffic or road construction
- Signs for goods loaded and delivered
- On returning to the Warehouse, ensure that the log sheet is completed, signed off and a copy given to the dispatch Supervisor.
- Handles returned goods as per the authorization sheet
- Responsible for all cash collect from customers for deliveries
- Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle and report any issues
- Ensures that the vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing
- Adheres to all traffic laws
- Report any accidents and damages to management
- Performs any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

**Salary**: R35.00 per hour
