Associate Director: Iom

BDO has a vacancy for an Associate Director in our Monitoring and Remediation Division.

The primary purpose of the role is the performance of the monitoring engagement inspections in accordance with the firm’s Engagement Inspections Programme (EIP). This role will be reporting to the Head of Monitoring and Remediation and all relevant Monitoring and Remediation Directors.

**Principle Outcomes**
- Technical Management:

- Performing high-quality monitoring and remediation reviews, including System of Quality Management (SoQM) monitoring within the prescribed timelines of the department’s policy.
- Contributions to improving audit quality through the nature of the findings reported, and development or changes to the review checklists used.
- Performing reviews of high-quality outside the borders of South Africa, where part of that team.
- Project Management:

- ? Adapt individual planned assignments to the overall EIP plan to ensure timely completion of reviews.
- Project management including timely review, finalisation, and communication to the Head of Monitoring and Remediation, EIP Director, SoQM Director, and Other ISQM 1 Services Directors.
- Training and Development:

- Attending training courses, internal research by self-study, and learning from other team members.
- Reporting:

- Present review findings to the National Inspection Outcome Committee.
- Information and Communication:

- Contribution to quality newsletters and other quality communication initiatives across the firm.
- Participate in providing training to partners/directors and professional staff.- Attending relevant BDO Global calls relating to EIP and SoQM.
- Professional administration:

- Maintain an up-to-date bundle of evidence for assigned reviews
- Maintain an up-to-date time tracker of assigned reviews
- Maintain an up-to-date library of findings for EIP and theme-based inspections

**Requirements**:

- CA(SA); Registered Auditor (10 years post articles experience in Audits and Assurance)
- Experience in Quality and Risk Management within Audit and Assurance will be advantageous
- Based in South Africa (any office)
