**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified, competent and dynamic individual to strengthen the internal capacity of municipalities to deliver on their constitutional mandate. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) ; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

**Recommendation**:
A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

**Key Performance Areas**:
To manage and coordinate municipal support interventions; Monitor and evaluate all projects; Gather all relevant information related to municipal performance and compliance.

**Competencies**:
Knowledge of the following: Public sector finance; Financial legislation in the public sector; Applicable financial management systems; Monitoring and reporting procedures; Statistical packages; Municipal finances; Project management; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Written and verbal communication; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Remuneration**:
R 393 711 per annum (Salary level 9)
