**Purpose**:
The marketer in pathology is an essential role within the organization. The incumbent will be expected to provide expert knowledge and strong commercial awareness to build effective professional relationships with key health professionals incl, GP's hospital doctors, pharmacists and practice nurses and resolve any issues that arise to ensure clients are satisfied with our services.

**Academic Requirements / Knowledge / experience**
- Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Working knowledge of Marketing strategies
- Excellent negotiation skills’
- Proven experience as a Marketer

**Required competencies**:

- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Background in customer service and industry knowledge and experience advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office suite, with working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g Hubspot, MDA)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Self-motivated; drive and initiative
- An out-going and confident approach
- Commercial and business acumen
- The ability to understand and present clinical data
- Proactive

**Responsibilities**:

- Become familiar with the workings of the company/laboratory e.g all tests offered, pricing, request books
- Build relationships with key health professional’s incl. GP'S; hospital doctors, pharmacists and practice nurses, i.e regular visits to all health professionals situated in the area allocated to you.
- Create plans to address clients' business needs and find a sales pitch to persuade clients into using laboratory as their preferred service provider.
- Schedule regular meetings with clients to ensure they are satisfied.
- Act as point of contact for complaints and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Ensure both the company and clients adhere to contract terms.
- Utilise all tools and marketing materials at your disposal
- Visit all laboratory depots in your area and ensure that they are kept in good condition and have the necessary stock.
- Check for possible depot premises.
- Be available at any time when needed to assist at conferences or talks held at specific venues.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g logistics, laboratory, administrators, senior management) to address clients' needs.
