Banqueting Manager

Large Hotel close to Bantry Bay with extensive banqueting facilities seeks an experienced & innovative Banqueting Manager.
- To ensure the effective planning and executing of all types of events and banquets.
- Monitoring and upholding standards always set within the Company and ensuring that all events are staffed adequately to optimize client’s satisfaction.
- Management of staffing costs and productivity on the floor, managing that staff adhere to procedures on handling the operating equipment and furniture.
- To ensure that staff adhere to venue setups as per the floor plans and that the venues are always kept clean.
- Required to liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders. and to ensure that the health and safety standards are adhered to by all staff at all the times.

**Requirements**:

- Matric certificate or equivalent.
- Diploma in Food and Beverage / Hospitality and/or recognized professional qualifications from a reputable institution or hotel school.
- 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role in large establishments or convention centre.
- Extensive experience in negotiating and communication with clients and staff.
- Experience in asset and furniture management.
- Experience in inventory (stock) management, control, and count experience.
- Computer literacy on various computer software programs
- Must have own transport.
- Shift, late and weekend work applies.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of financial principles.
- Tech Savvy would be an added advantage.
