A Financial Controller is needed at one of Africa's largest industrial fastener stockists, employing cutting-edge technology and systems. Their quick turnaround time and extensive stock availability have enabled them to establish a reliable network of distributors who can efficiently utilize stock holdings, resulting in significant savings in working capital and time.

**Financial Controller** should have a Degree in Accounting or Finance, along with several years of experience in a similar role. They should also have strong analytical and leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Major duties include, but are not specifically limited to:

- Accounting: Responsible for managing the company's accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, WIP, cash book and with full tax compliance.
- Budgeting: Responsible for developing and managing the company's budget, which includes forecasting revenues and expenses, and ensuring that the company stays within its budgetary constraints.
- Financial analysis: Responsible for providing financial analysis and insights to the company's senior management team, including variance analysis, financial modelling, and forecasting.
- Compliance: Responsible for ensuring that the company is in compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP, IFRS, and local tax laws.
- Risk management: Responsible for identifying and mitigating financial risks to the company, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
- Audit: Manage, control, and develop internal control systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial recording.
- Team management.

**Professional Experience and Qualifications Required**:

- Grade 12/N3 qualification.
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Experience in Syspro will be advantageous.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Internal systems and procedures control testing.
