Senior Handyman

Tsebo Facilities Solution is looking for a Senior Handyman - Plumbing who will be Responsible for providing an efficient and effective planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and remedial works programme in a manner that achieves the objectives of the Client, by proactively administering the workplace services in accordance with the Master Service Agreement.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Operational Delivery**:

- Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all building related issues such as plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry and painting. Including furniture, fittings, fixtures and other equipment
- Ensure that all Work Orders are completed prior to submission to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
- Proactively log any maintenance issues you identify at the TFS Helpdesk
- Carry out any duties as required and instructed by the Technical Supervisor/Manager
- Undertake proactive and reactive maintenance tasks and repairs
- Ensure that all jobs are carried out in a safe and competent manner
- Clean-up work area on completion of a job
- Participate in rotational Standby and Call Out schedule, specifically afterhours, week days and weekends, in support of the Client. (Must have own transport).
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean and clear at all times
- Tools are to be looked after and maintained in a good working condition
- To provide support with regard to reactive and proactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on interior, exterior fabric, light machinery and fittings
- Undertake documented inspections, as notified by your Supervisor/Manager
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks
- Undertake work related to general maintenance, as instructed by the Technical Supervisor/Manager.
- Carry out inspections in relation to OHS Act requirements and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the OHS Act requirements
- Oversee sub-contractors as and when required. Escort and oversee sub-contractors where necessary and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with OHS Act requirements
- Ensure all sub-contractors leave the area in a clean and tidy state when the work is completed and ensure the sub-contractors remove their rubbish and waste from site once the work is completed.
- Lead a team of Handymen when necessary, from time to time as directed by the Technical Manager/Supervisor.

Service Delivery Management:

- Ensuring performance requirements are met in accordance with the Clients SLA’s and performance management.
- Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation and update all allocated calls on the Help Desk System (IOC)

**Customer Focus**:

- Work within the Maintenance team to develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude toward activities
- Interact with clients to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about services
- Work with processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced
- Attend to and resolve all client queries timeously or escalate when necessary
- Always complete tasks/jobs allocated, or handover with clear instructions as to progress and remaining remedial works required to complete the task/job
- Follow up and follow through on all escalated queries timeously
- Manage conflict

**Reporting**:

- Report directly to designated Technical Supervisor/Manager, or designated senior Artisan on all matters relating to completion of tasks/jobs, or potential risks
- Log all calls on the designated Helpdesk system ensuring transparency of works in progress
- Updating of calls during and on completion of all calls closed/pending. (Attention to detail)
- Prepare weekly/monthly reporting, as and when required, within set timeframes for submission to your Technical Supervisor/Manager as requested
- Update and maintain all relevant records of tasks/jobs undertaken.

- Be presentable (visually) whilst on duty and more specifically in high profile environments
