The role:
**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Customer relationship management, marketing products and services to existing small, medium and larger customers to increase and maintain revenue
- Annual visits to key B2B customers in the wider Gauteng area and KZN
- Advise and support customers with regards to compliance and ensuring an efficient and safe work environment in line with legislative requirements
- Report infringements to the Safety Officer timeously
- Adhere to all safety practices and the OHS ACT and all associated legal requirements
- Subscribing to best practice implementation and adoption of ISO management standards
- Adhere and track financial aspect of sales in terms of revenue, margins, project payback
- Data processing, sourcing and interpretation
- Driving accountability, compliance and high performance in own role and department by supporting Sales and Marketing Manager from a technical, networking, negotiating, conflict management and knowledge leadership perspective
- Sales budgeting and forecasting, operations planning
- Maintain positive relationship with key suppliers

**Key requirements**:

- B degree or National Diploma Engineering /Technical
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience negotiating supply contracts within a technical/production environment
- 3 - 5 Years energy industry experience in a production environment
- Knowledge of the Gas Act, Regulatory Agreements and Consumer Protection Act essential
- Experience within the gas pipeline industry would be an advantage as is technical knowledge of gas equipment and customer processes
- In addition, you should have knowledge of the following key areas:

- o commodity and petrochemical pricing
- o commodity/consumer markets, customer drivers/service
- o supply/demand dynamics, customer demand management
- o international/domestic product pricing, global/domestic economic environment
- o customer process/conversion technologies
- o end-use/industry markets
- o environmental/legislation/regulatory/contractual issues and impact

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- energy industry: 3 years (preferred)
- Gas Act, Regulatory Agreements and Consumer Protection Act: 3 years (preferred)
