WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Manufacture components using conventional lathe and CNC Milling machines as per the designs
- Measure and certify all machined parts, including outsourced components
- Modify and machine incomplete outsourced components from suppliers to required tolerances
- Ensure integrated parts fit together according to required tolerances
- Give tooling design inputs where necessary
- Machine and manufacture parts and components from raw materials into finished products, using different types of material i.e., Brass, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, etc.
- Do surface and cylindrical grinding activities
- Compile BOMs to order material and spares

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Grade 12/ N3 Technical qualification or equivalent.
- Trade Test as a Turner Machinist
- Over 5 years experience in conventional Milling machines as an operator & setter
- Over 5 years experience in CNC milling\turning Machines (Fanuc controls)
- Over 5 years experience in the use of conventional lathe
- CNC programming knowledge and experience will be advantageous
- CNC competency certificate will be advantageous
- Knowledge of Edge cam software will be advantageous
- An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing environment
- Contract/contractor management knowledge and skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in planning and implementation of work activities
- Good understanding of explosive environment regulations
- Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy: MS Packages and SAP
