A **Senior** **CNC Programmer** plays a crucial role in optimizing the functionality of CNC machines to ensure high-quality and efficient production. Using **EDGECAM software**, you need to perform your own setups and adjust CNC programs accordingly. YOu need to be able to lead, and monitor and work as a team.

**Responsibilities include**:
1. **Program Creation**: Reviewing existing programs and developing new CNC programs in Edgecam.

2. **Technical Interpretation**: Reading and interpreting technical drawings to set up CNC machines according to specifications.

3. **Dimension Calculations**: Analyzing job orders, drawings, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selections, machine speeds, and feed rates.

4. **Optimization and Troubleshooting**: Creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting machine programs for seamless production.

5. **Jig and Tool Design**: Designing and manufacturing jigs and special tooling.

6. **Prioritization**: Prioritizing jobs and completing urgent tasks as needed.

7. **Communication and Documentation**: Maintaining continuity between workstations by communicating requirements and documenting irregularities.

8. **Tooling Knowledge**: Understanding required tooling for cutting specific materials and programming machines efficiently.

9. **Machine Setup**: Setting up machines, adjusting settings, and ensuring product specifications using FANUC controls.

10. **Job Costing**: Efficiently capturing job card time during setup.

11. **Mentoring and Support**: Guiding staff, assisting machine operators, and addressing technical issues.

12. **Supervising**: Making sure the right jobs are at the right machines, and CNC operators are accountable for the jobs on their machines, and ensure all products meet client specifications.

**Qualifying Experience**:

- Matric with Mathematics
- Relevant tertiary qualification (N3 or higher) or / and Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ Programming experience in a manufacturing/engineering/production/turning environment.
- Competency in programming with Edgecam (Turning)
- Comprehensive understanding of different material grades and characteristics
- Traceable references and a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in this position
- Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transport

Pay: R130,00 - R180,00 per hour
