**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

The HR Generalist will be responsible for all daily HR operations across the employee life cycle and assist the People Solutions Manager in implementing, managing, directing and coordinating the HR function in collaboration with the rest of the People Solutions Team. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organisation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Business Partner**:Form and maintain critical key relationships in the business to define and implement relevant and appropriate HR initiatives.
- **Talent Management**: Assist and ensure the implementation of the end to end process of recruitment and onboarding of new employees in line with business requirements.
- **Job Management**:Ensure that job descriptions are maintained and updated when required and conduct job grading assessments when needed.
- **Reporting and Compliance**: Assist the PS Manager in HR reporting and analytics both internally and externally and to ensure legal compliance within the business with regards to statutory reporting such as EE reporting and compliance reporting such as POPIA. Assist the EE committee in the fulfilment of its responsibilities and compliance thereof.
- **Policies and Procedures**: Formulate, recommend and communicate HR policies, procedures, legislative requirements and objectives for the company with regards to employee relations.
- **Industrial Relations**:Manage and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, performance management and investigations. Provide guidance, support and implementation on all Industrial and employee relations related matters that may arise.
- **Organisational Development**:Assist and collaborate with the OD & Talent Development Practitioners in order to meet the objectives of the various clients within the business.

**JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS**
- A relevant HRM degree or equivalent
- 3 - 5 Years HR Generalist experience in the full HR value chain
- Previous experience within the retail industry will be advantageous
- Experience with developing and implementing EE Plans as well as the submission thereof
- Understanding of BBBEE framework and submission requirements
- Understanding and experience POPIA compliance and implementation
- Broad-based general knowledge of HR, relevant legislation, and HR best practice
- Proficient with G-Suite and general computer literacy
