Firm in Pretoria East is looking for a Conveyancing Secretary to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities;
General secretarial work as is appropriate in a conveyancer's offices

Type general correspondence

Receiving instructions from correspondents

Opening of matters on GhostPractice and opening of files.

Liaising with correspondents from receipt of instruction to successful conclusion of the matter

Answering telephone calls, taking telephone messages and making notes on the file

Using a diary management system

Keeping records of costs

Capturing of fees onto GhostPractice

General administrative work. (Filing, scanning, copying etc.)

Arrange for delivery of correspondence

Assist attorneys in collecting information on and for correspondents using Windeed, Searchworks, Datasearch etc.

Draft and type office memos.

Printing of ledger reports on files reflecting fees/disbursements/payments etc.

Final reconciliation of statements on matters.

Performs related work as assigned

Drafting of necessary documents,

Bonds and Transfer - Instructions from correspondents

Requesting clearance figures from the Municipality

Completing transfer duty documents for SARS

Signing transfer and bond documents with client's for the banks - instructed by correspondent

Completing lodgement documents for different correspondents and arranging of lodgement to the DeedsOffice

Obtaining Consents in respect of section 70/70 from Department of Agricultural

Amending documents for correspondents

Requesting Copies of Company's registration documents

Deliveries of documents to Correspondents

Knowledge of estate transfers

Salary negotiable depending on experience
