Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organization supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. **MatCH Institute NPC is looking to fill the following Position under the APACE Grant**

**Location**: Harry Gwala District (KwaZulu Natal Province)

**Duration of Contract**: fixed term ending 30 September 2023

**Main purpose of the job**

Incumbent will assist facility management to provide quality primary healthcare at public health facilities supported by MatCH. Activities include clinical management of patients, site assessments and related quality improvement aligned to National Department of Health standards, and on-site training and mentoring.

**Key performance areas**
- Day to day service delivery at ARV clinics, Primary HealthCare (PHC) sites and institutions of higher learning
- Clinical assessments, management and monitoring of adolescent girls and young women on PrEP
- Clinical assessments, management and monitoring of adolescents and adults on ART
- Provide direct service delivery and onsite mentoring to facility staff
- Coordinating, implementing, and reporting on clinical activities
- Conduct needs assessments and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring quality improvement plans
- Completing patient records in line with guidelines
- Support the CCMDD Programme including identifying patients for decanting, adherence support groups and seeing follow up patients
- Submit progress reports
- Manage equipment & supplies including conducting assessments of requirements, managing stock & equipment, and coordinating the maintenance of equipment
- Collection of patient data and reporting data to MatCH M&E coordinator for submission to the donor
- Any ad hoc activities in line with the nature of the job
- Available to commence work immediately

**Required minimum education and training**
- Diploma in General Nursing (with specialization)
- Nimart Certificate

**Professional Body**
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council

**Minimum work experience**
- 2 years’ experience in a public health setting

**Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities**
- Knowledge on PrEP and Sexual and Reproductive Health
- Experience in working with adolescent and youth in a clinical environment
- Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach to work
- Driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to problem solve
- Ability to ensure all tasks are seen through to completion
- Attention to detail and quality
- Experience in dealing with provincial and local health authorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, thorough and accurate approach to work
- Ability to work in a multi
- disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds
