**Position of the job in the organisation**:
**Principal responsibilities**:
The supply chain coordinator’s primary role is to support the smooth running of the supply chain department through administrative duties. These include:

- Ordering stock from suppliers to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels
- Monthly updates and improvements of the cost templates for the bill of quantities for accurate pricing
- Process order confirmations from suppliers quickly and effectively, liaising with other departments where necessary
- Expediting and chasing open orders for improved ETA
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics for the business, including tracking and management of imported and local supplies
- Facilitate inventory management through an effective SKU management process
- Picking, packing, organising and issuing materials
- Effectively plan and conduct the stock counting process and balance any variations thereafter.
- Proactively monitor key inventory items and liaise with projects and operations teams to prevent inventory stockout issues.
- Monitor actual versus confirmed deliveries and report on all overdue items
- Maintain all documents relating to the supply chain process following the company’s quality requirements
- Document control and database management
- Day-to-day supplier communications
- Communicate informed risks within the business to key stakeholders
- Overall general administrative support to the supply chain department
- Request and update supplier BBEEE certificates to ensure the supply base is kept updated
- Any other job duties associated with this role.

**PERSON DESCRIPTION**

**Experience**:
Two years of experience in a similar role; if you have this in the renewable energy sector or a partner-driven business, that would be your advantage.

**Specific attributes**:

- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as part of a team when required
- Good verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise work tasks
- A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn about our purchasing and inventory processes
- Previous experience in an administration role

**Desirable attributes**:

- National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business administration-related discipline
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or construction is preferred
- Understanding of Xero software
- Advanced Excel

**What Does Success Look Like?**

**By month 3**:
I will be familiar with our supply chain processes. I will know all minimum and maximum levels of key items/spares held in stock.

**By month 6**:
I have mastered and built an effective inventory management system and supply base. I will be accountable for administrative functions within procurement and logistics. I can independently resolve procurement and logistics administrative functions.

**By month 12**:
I can confidently support the procurement and logistics department with minimum support and have mutually beneficial relationships with all SAE internal and external stakeholders.
