Our Senior Reactive Sales Agent play an important role in a number of vital hotel functions.

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.

Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.

Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.

Accommodate and document special requests.

Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.

Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.

Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.

Be responsible for Restaurant bookings in the different outlets
- Restaurant, Bar Lounges or the Pool Area

Compile function sheets and ensure all departments are informed about events/restaurant bookings

Input and access data in reservation system.

Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individual or department.

Social Media Champion for the property -Ensure that you post images/ videos / activations on Facebook/ Instagram in order to market the Hotel and maximize revenues

Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations.

Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms and keep organized files of all groups.

Set-up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies.

They are critical to ensure smooth operations throughout the entire hotel.

Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system.

Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

Advising CLIENTS on the merits of the various facilities available.

Ascertaining the client’s choice of menu, beverages, entertainment, table plans, equipment etc.

Making reservations in liaison with the Reservations Department.

Drawing up of contracts and ensuring they are signed and deposits are paid.

Obtaining rooming lists, checklists, deposits, vouchers or order and payments for all functions prior to check-in.

Providing Front Office with copies of all documentation and handover well in advance to groups checking in.

Whether providing administrative support (e.g., prepare documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software), serving as the point of contact for clients and vendors, or acting as the liaison between the Reservations/ sales and clients throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event), our Senior Reactive Sales Agent get the job done.

The following are the requirements:
Matric

1 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within a similar property.

Must be knowledgeable in Opera

Must be knowledgeable in Opera - Sales & Catering

Experience working on Marsha beneficial

Must be GUEST and service driven.

Ability to work accurately under pressure.

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Time management skills is essential.

Computer Literacy is essential (Micros, Opera, Marsha, Word and Excel)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Well groomed, presentable and professional manner.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management.
