Cabinet Maker/joiner

**Carpenter/Fabricator required**:
High end Residential interior Design Firm in Ballito is looking for an experienced Carpenter/Cabinet maker for their new manufacturing entity.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years + of experience as an artisan working on furniture/cabinets and fabrication.
- 3 years + of experience as a carpenter working with both laminated boards and solid wood.
- The applicate should be able to start immediately.
- Sound Knowledge of tools and materials used in the assigned area of responsibility, such as woodwork machinery.
- Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Be able to create calculate yield for quantity for bill of materials
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to plan, organise and control own work effort, a very keen eye for detail is required with good communication skills - English
- Assembling products and parts, following production guidelines and specifications.
- Experience cabinet/kitchen manufacturing is advantageous
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their uses
- Numerical and Problem solving ability/skills
- Methodical, neat, and accurate
- Know how to build accurate jigs
- Working to tight tolerances (+/- 1mm)
- Read and interpret cutting lists, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
- Knowledge architectural products such as aluminium facades/glazing industry would be advantageous.

**Required Experience - **You will have:

- Qualifications relevant to carpentry/fabrication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to be pro-active and resolve problems
- A Driver’s License will be an added advantage

**Salary**: R7,200.00 - R12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ballitoville, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Primary (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry/shopfitting: 3 years (required)
