Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and upgrading the computer systems and networks.

**Duties**
- Network Cabling (on new projects, moves and maintaining).
- DVR Maintenance (Assisting on connecting DVR to Switch).
- Fridge Monitor Maintenance - Assisting and monitoring devices.
- IT support Hardware, Software, Desktops & Telephones.
- Standby Support - One week a month on standby.
- Computer, Telephone and other devices moves.
- Formatting and setting up, loading software and operational programs of PC’s & Laptops.
- Technical assistance via VNC/Telephone.
- Assisting in keeping IT storeroom neat.
- Scanning in faulty or damage devices to be written off and be destroyed.
- Assisting in setting up Mitel phones for new users.
- Working through tickets that is logged.
- Close tickets with full details.
- Logging of tickets to COPFIN for faulty Kyocera printers.
- Completing task in expected time frames and accuracy.
- Working overtime when needed.
- Mapping operational drives (except HR).
- Loading of config file.
- Loading and updating antivirus on systems.
- Assist in asset tracking.
- Assisting in moving cabinets and switches.
- Reporting any network errors and problems to Network specialist.
- Report any errors or problems that influence incompletion of duties.
- Assisting in annual / monthly stock take.
- Assist in Technical Helpdesk when required.

**Adhoc**

Perform any adhoc duties that may be required by the department or Business.

**Required Experience**
- Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
- Network and troubleshooting
- Computer literacy.
- Microsoft office and Windows

**Qualifications**
- **MINIMUM**:

- Grade 12
- CompTIA A, CompTIA Net certification or other related IT professional certification
- **IDEAL**:

- Valid driver’s license
- Degree/diploma in IT

**EXPERIENCE**
- No Experiance
- knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
- Computer literacy
- Microsoft office and Windows
- Excel and Word
